About Me

I have been working for the last decade as a machinist/fabricator/welder/jack-of-all-trades at a small machine shop in KS. Mostly I’ve worked on repairing industrial machinery. I’m currently working on a Mechanical Engineering bachelors degree at Wichita State University. I’m also a DIY geek, scifi nerd, and just plain curious guy. The purpose of this blog is to document the experiences I have in trying to work through most of the projects in the 1968 edition of “The Popular Mechanics Do-It-Yourself Encyclopedia.” I also plan to post about general DIY and engineering topics. I hope you enjoy.
